Fashion designers are wild about tartan and plaid and they are making a statement by resurrecting it into the fashion scene for the Autumn/winter 2011 season. Plaids have been coming and going for years and now they're back to enchant our eyes but with a little bit of a twist as fashion designers have increased their versatility by going bold with colours.

Print and pattern trends Autumn/Winter 2011-12  always elaborate swirls, motifs, polka dots and opulent winter floral’s – at the autumn / winter 2011-12′s catwalks will be presenting a lot of designs with print and pattern trends.

For braver Dressers, this season is a master class in the pattern. Mary Katrantzou, whose intricate prints inspired showed bell shapes worn over printed, clashing tights.
